Welcome
When I got full custody of my then, four-year-old little girl Caitlyn, I started getting several guys asking me for advice on what I did to win. Furthermore, after talking with my attorney, James Newth, he told me that “I was the most prepared, hardest working client, and one of the best dads around.” Pretty big compliment from a guy who has been practicing family & criminal law for over 30 years.
It was at that point, that I realized that a lot of the tips and techniques I used were not readily available and obvious to the typical father. I organized some classes material and hit the road and see if my techniques would work for dads and moms. That was 2008, and after performing a dozen or so classes from two days to 4 hours, in both Dallas and Austin, I kept getting request from dads, and a few moms asking me to write a book.
This site represents just the “Cliff Notes” version of the upcoming book, “Daddy Got Custody” outlining more than 500+ practical tips to help good fathers gain custody of their kids. I am not part of a “pro-dad” movement, and you will never see me organizing to try to get laws changed. All things being equal, I do think mom is the better parent. Read that line again. However, there are those cases where dad REALLY is the better parent. My case happens to be one of them. How does a parent prove this? What resources are available to a father involved in a divorce, paternity or custody suit? How does a FATHER kick against the goad of a biased system? That is the focal point of this site. I want to help good parents (both male and female) gain and maintain custody of their kids. They have-to-be or want-to-be the better parent. That my friend, means taking the hard road and making hard decision that are in the best interest of your kids and sometimes balancing with your Ex, whether you feel like it or not.
I know where my daughter sleeps most nights, how about you?
